In the end, he surrendered and handcuffed him and his feet. After searching the hotel room, the police found false IDs, weapons, ammunition, and false driver's licenses as well, all of which could have been used for armed robbery and to commit many other crimes.
After many investigations, the mastermind of all these crimes, Nuno Pontes, was sentenced to solitary confinement, and Nuno Pontes said: “If I had known that the policeman who stopped us on the road was because we did not wear a seat belt, I would now be on the run in Mexico enjoying Burden of freedom.”
